Steel Strapping or Banding

Steel Strapping or banding as it's sometime called is available in a variety of sizes, break strengths, surface finishes, coil types and is either cold or hot rolled.

The most commonly used steel strap specification is cold rolled, blued and waxed finish wound into ribbon or oscillation wound coils. The hot rolled  steel strapping uses are generally limited to the heavier duty applications where the much improved shock loading characteristics of hot rolled steel are more likely to be required. Surface finishes are selected to suit the application ie for outdoor storage of product the black painted and zinc coated surface finishes offer increased protection against rusting.
